*Yep, that's the giant man from a week or so ago, and from the scenery it's obvious he's in Violet City. He's absolutely roaring with laughter from the back of his larger-than-usual Tauros.

And electricity is crackling from his fingertips. Also, does his hair look more spiky and yellow than normal?* Ha! If this world thought to lay me low from disease once again, it was sorely mistaken!

But if fever and illness are what must be endured as a price for these ... capabilities-- *SPARKS. Into the air!* --then so be it!

How fitting for the heir of mighty Zeus himself, would you not agree? Come, friends! Show me the bounty of your newfound power!

[Action; Violet City]

*CAREFUL or you might get run over by a man charging through the streets on the back of a Tauros with thunder crackling from his hands. And yet, he seems to be, in his own way, methodically testing his new capabilities in terms of the materials he's zapping - rarely with enough force to do any harm, though.

He rears his Tauros to a halt, patting its flank affectionately.*

[As Rider gallops through the streets, a young woman wandering lost in thought doesn't seem to notice him until it's almost too late. Jerking her head up at the sound of hooves in surprise, she dives out of the way at the last moment, yelping, and a wave of powerful lightning arches from her hands, though it lands in between Rider's Tauros and herself rather than striking directly. Interestingly, she doesn't show any clear signs of transformation despite her powers. Perhaps she's hiding them.]

What the hay?

*It's a testament to how well he handles his bull mount that when the girl wanders in front of him and there's that crash of thunder and lightning, the Tauros rears only once before Rider brings him under control, turning him around quickly to face Twilight.* Are you blind, girl?! What were you thinking!

I'm a little... [An arc of electricity tears out from her hand, thankfully aimed away from Tauros and Rider, and Twilight mutters something to herself before closing her eyes and tightening her focus, pulling her power back under control.] Distracted at the moment, and I certainly didn't expect anyone to come around riding a Tauros through the middle of a city!

[She gets back up on her feet and starts dusting herself off.]

Hmph. Minos and I ride where we please. Your distractions are your own to deal with. *He's tall enough on his own; he towers over her when he's on the mount.* Master what ails you without getting trampled underfoot!

[She doesn't respond to that, verbally at least. She just raises her head, gives him a very cold frown, during which her eyes seem to flicker yellow for a very brief moment, and turns to walk away. As she goes, electricity dances over her fingers for a moment before she clenches the hand it's on into a fist, forcing it back down.]

*Aw HELL no.

Rider spurs the Tauros into action, swiftly overtaking her and wheeling around to cut her off.* You would turn your back on the King of Conquerors without so much as giving your name?

[Well, that takes her a bit aback. She doesn't actually think before her next words spill out of her mouth, surprise actually temporarily forcing away her annoyance.]

You're a king?

*And then he grins down at her, bursting into laughter.* Aye! Alexander the Great, conqueror and king of a mighty empire!

I... see. [Well, that explains why he's so... confident, at least.]

Twilight Sparkle. Mage and servant of a peaceful kingdom.

A magus, hmm? Tell me, girl - you aren't another participant in one of the Holy Grail Wars, are you? The Fifth, perhaps? There are so many of them in this land that it's beginning to feel a bit silly.

Holy Grail... No. I've never heard of a "Holy Grail" and as for wars, there hasn't even been one in my time. A couple of attempted coups, yes, but those were thwarted pretty quickly.

Good! It's strange to meet so many Masters and Servants here as it is.

Tell me of your kingdom, then! What sort of place is it? What ruler gives rise to such rebellions?

It's possible there's some sort of connection between this world and your own... I have no idea where you'd start looking for something like that, though.

[Dryly.] If you want me to talk about Princess Celestia, it's entirely possible we could be here all day. As for the coups in question, one was attempted by her younger sister in a fit of jealousy and bitterness over believing that the subjects they were supposed to rule together loved Celestia and not herself. Unfortunately, she did have reason to believe so. If it hadn't been for the Elements of Harmony, that story would not have had anything close to a happy ending.

As for the other... [Her eyes narrow, her mouth twists down, and she looks like she could very easily lash out at something.] That was the work of Discord, the Spirit of Disharmony and Chaos, and probably the single most evil being I have ever had the displeasure to meet.

Your land is ruled by a Princess? Why not a King, or Queen even? Is she a subject to a higher power herself?

*CLEARLY this is the most important thing you've said, Twilight.*

I'm not entirely sure why she hasn't taken the title of Queen, actually, but I have a theory. She originally intended to co-rule Equestria with her sister, and while a land can only have one King or Queen, there can be as many Princes or Princesses as necessary.

And it would be pretty difficult to find a higher power, given that she raises and lowers the sun every day. [Of course, there is Discord and was Nightmare Moon, but those were special cases and neither should ever be in charge of anything.]

Ah! *He slams a fist into his palm.* Then your land is ruled by the gods themselves?! Such fortune!

Well... [She seems to ponder that for a moment.] I suppose you could call them that. Certainly they're both powerful enough to qualify, and immortal as far as I can tell. To the best of my knowledge, though, neither has ever laid claim to the title. In fact I don't think I've ever met a being genuinely claiming to be a God.

*He grins at the girl.* Well now you have met a descendant of gods! For the blood of immortal Zeus, lord of Olympus, courses through my veins!

That's, um... very impressive. Though I don't actually know anything about either of those names. But this "Zeus" is a God then?

Of course, girl, of course! Keep up!

Mighty Zeus is he who fashions the very thunder itself!

A God of Thunder and Lightning? Interesting. In my world, those are fashioned by an entire race. The Pegasi are the ones who control the weather, and storms fall under that heading.

Pegasi? You mean like the winged steed of Bellerophon?

I have no idea who Bellerophon is, and I can't think of a single pegasus I've met who would consent to being ridden, but I suppose if you had one the size of a Rapidash and with a demeanor conducive to such things it would work.

Bah! A horse that refuses a rider simply hasn't been properly trained! *He pats the bull beneath him affectionately.* And there exists no steed that Alexander cannot break.

[Her eyes narrow again, and a spark of electricity jumps between her hands.]

You've never met an Equestrian before. And we're ponies, not horses.
