*Yep, that's the giant man from a week or so ago, and from the scenery it's obvious he's in Violet City. He's absolutely roaring with laughter from the back of his larger-than-usual Tauros.

And electricity is crackling from his fingertips. Also, does his hair look more spiky and yellow than normal?* Ha! If this world thought to lay me low from disease once again, it was sorely mistaken!

But if fever and illness are what must be endured as a price for these ... capabilities-- *SPARKS. Into the air!* --then so be it!

How fitting for the heir of mighty Zeus himself, would you not agree? Come, friends! Show me the bounty of your newfound power!

*CAREFUL or you might get run over by a man charging through the streets on the back of a Tauros with thunder crackling from his hands. And yet, he seems to be, in his own way, methodically testing his new capabilities in terms of the materials he's zapping - rarely with enough force to do any harm, though.

He rears his Tauros to a halt, patting its flank affectionately.*

[In response to Rider's question, Lancer took a breath and exhaled a small burst of fire.]

Nothin' special--sure as hell isn't the Ansuz rune--but it's different.

[As Rider gallops through the streets, a young woman wandering lost in thought doesn't seem to notice him until it's almost too late. Jerking her head up at the sound of hooves in surprise, she dives out of the way at the last moment, yelping, and a wave of powerful lightning arches from her hands, though it lands in between Rider's Tauros and herself rather than striking directly. Interestingly, she doesn't show any clear signs of transformation despite her powers. Perhaps she's hiding them.]

It wouldn't be the first surreal game this world played with us. Definitely one of the weirdest, though.

*It's a testament to how well he handles his bull mount that when the girl wanders in front of him and there's that crash of thunder and lightning, the Tauros rears only once before Rider brings him under control, turning him around quickly to face Twilight.* Are you blind, girl?! What were you thinking!

Hey, if I was you, I wouldn't believe it either. But it definitely happened.

I'm a little... [An arc of electricity tears out from her hand, thankfully aimed away from Tauros and Rider, and Twilight mutters something to herself before closing her eyes and tightening her focus, pulling her power back under control.] Distracted at the moment, and I certainly didn't expect anyone to come around riding a Tauros through the middle of a city!

[She gets back up on her feet and starts dusting herself off.]

Are you going to tell me how such a thing could exist...?

Hmph. Minos and I ride where we please. Your distractions are your own to deal with. *He's tall enough on his own; he towers over her when he's on the mount.* Master what ails you without getting trampled underfoot!

*oh, this is convenient, he'd been keeping an eye out for when you'd arrive, this saves him the trouble of having to figure out where in the city you are*

*oh yeah, and his dark hair is streaked through with a lighter yellow pattern, though if he has other markings it's impossible to see under that leather armor he wears*

*Oh, it's that man. Rider grins at him, wheeling the Tauros around.* Truly! Minos' hooves are fleet indeed!

*the electrike at his heels is wary but curious about the newcomer who's apparently another electric type. the staravia, on the other hand, is quite decidedly keeping his distance*

Perusing the streets of Violet City, King of Conquerors?

[ Here is one Emperor Rome casually and calmly walking towards Alexander wearing nothing but a bikini. It's in response to her powers, of course, as it was pretty clear where Alexander's tastes were really at, so she hardly thinks she's putting on a show for him.

However, there's a large Metagross and a taller Garchomp following the short blonde. On top of the Metagross' steel head, however, looks to be a sword wrapped in linen as she approaches. ]

Ahhh, regrettably not. It's understandable, certainly. Few will follow an unproven dream. You must succeed to have success.

*raises an eyebrow at that*

If you put it like that, it makes it sound like hardly anyone could succeed.

[She doesn't respond to that, verbally at least. She just raises her head, gives him a very cold frown, during which her eyes seem to flicker yellow for a very brief moment, and turns to walk away. As she goes, electricity dances over her fingers for a moment before she clenches the hand it's on into a fist, forcing it back down.]

Not in the least! Does not every journey start with one step? One small victory brings further greater ones!

The residents of this place see no need for an army, nor do they desire one. I will change that.

In a manner, lord of Rome! Swift Minos cannot be contained in such a small container for too long; he yearns to work his legs!

*He rounds the Tauros in her direction, trotting over to her. He'd tower over her normally; on the mount it's kind of ridiculous.* I see you have brought your companions. Far more impressive than any of the beasts I encountered on my journey!

Most people here seem to care more about who can raise and battle or compete with their pokémon best than about armies.
